About Us

Our President and Founder, Debbie Sanders, was flagged as a Glaucoma suspect back in 2003. By 2011, after complaining to her eye doctor at that time about people sometimes standing at her desk and her not even knowing they were there, a visual field test was given and indeed confirmed she had Glaucoma with significant vision loss. She found a specialist at Dean McGee Eye Institute and together with her new eye doctor, they began a very aggressive treatment plan to lower her IOP and to try to slow the progression of vision loss. By 2013, Debbie was declared legally blind with her peripheral vision gone.

Debbie struggled with the shock of her diagnosis and finding answers to her “Now What?” questions thinking there has got to be a better way to find answers and support. She enlisted the help of a few close friends to help form MLV so that she, in turn, can help others who are going blind. She has such a heart and passion to serve and a “limitless vision” on how to help and serve the blind.
